Running for Change: Our Great North Run 2025

In September 2025, the David Brown Foundation was proud to be represented at the Great North Run in Newcastle, one of the world’s most iconic half marathons.

This year, eight incredible runners took on the 13.1-mile challenge, showing determination, resilience and a huge amount of heart. Training through the summer and pushing themselves on race day, each runner crossed the finish line knowing they were making a real difference for children and young people.

Thanks to their hard work and the generosity of everyone who supported them, the team raised an amazing £4,283.25. Every pound raised will help the David Brown Foundation continue its mission to support children through education.

The Great North Run is always an inspiring event, bringing together tens of thousands of runners and supporters, and it was fantastic to see our team proudly representing the Foundation in Newcastle. We are incredibly grateful to each runner for choosing to fundraise for us, and to every donor who cheered them on along the way.
