A Night to Remember: The David Brown Foundation Christmas Gift Gala

On Saturday 6 December, the David Brown Foundation welcomed supporters to The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate for our annual Christmas Gift Gala and it truly was a night to remember.

The evening was full of festive energy, brought to life by the fantastic Captain Atlantic, who got everyone on their feet, followed by a DJ and live bongo drummers who kept the celebrations going late into the night. The atmosphere was joyful, generous and full of Christmas spirit.

Our guests showed incredible kindness throughout the evening. Thanks to their generosity, we raised an amazing £13,200, which will help us continue our work supporting children through education and opportunity. In addition, every guest was invited to bring a gift for a child, and we were overwhelmed to receive almost 150 presents, each one helping to bring joy to a child this Christmas.

The Tree of Life and charity auction were a real highlight, with a wonderful selection of lots that inspired enthusiastic bidding. We are incredibly grateful to the many local brands and businesses in Harrogate who donated prizes and wine so generously, your support made the night truly special.

A huge thank you goes to our organisers, sponsors and volunteers, whose hard work behind the scenes made the event such a success. Most of all, thank you to everyone who attended, donated and supported the gala.

What a way to kick off Christmas, filled with generosity, community spirit and hope for the children we support. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the evening unforgettable.
